THE LAST PICTURE SHOP - Trailer

Would you travel halfway around the world to save the thing you love? For over 40 years, Ümit, a playful and eccentric 65 year old Cypriot Cockney projectionist, has kept his love of cinema alive by running the last cine film shop in the UK. As gentrification and the cost of living crisis push the shop towards closure, his close filmmaker friend Liam begins making a film in the hope of saving it.

When things start to look truly desperate, Ümit’s brother offers up a wild idea that blows the project wide open: track down the high priest of celluloid, Quentin Tarantino, and ask for his help before the shop is lost forever. With nothing left to lose, Ümit and Liam head to Hollywood on a madcap adventure packed with chaos, humour, and unexpected joy. However, as the journey unravels, their friendship and their shared love of cinema are put to the test, until they finally realise the answer to their quest lies closer to home.

The Last Picture Shop is a heartfelt homage to cinema, community, and friendship.
