As the UK entered lockdown in March 2020, an anonymous phone line invited people to confess their deepest thoughts. From longing and loss to unexpected relief, their voices reveal a raw, intimate portrait of a world on pause—where isolation exposed what truly mattered, and what didn’t.

Now, nearing the 5th anniversary of the UK’s first Covid lockdown, this film presents a selection of those calls. Raw, personal, and sometimes humorous, these voices offer an intimate portrait of a unique moment in time and the truths we share when no one knows our name.
